Anniversary #2!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to my man :) 

2 years already?! I cannot believe how time flies. It seriously feels like we were just shoving cake in each other's mouths. Such a fun day :) LOVE being married to you, SPH! I feel so blessed. I love growing with you and just going through life with you. SO thankful for the sweet man God picked for me. This love is bigger than us :)

Our tears will be no more

One of the pastors at our church (The Village Church) has been doing a sermon series on suffering. We missed last week's since we were out of town, but I listened to the audio today and wow. I was brought to tears. So much truth. Most of the focus was on Romans 8 and Revelations 21.

Graduation // Mother's Day

This past weekend was filled with lots of fun, family, friends, and food :) My sister and her boyfriend both graduated from Texas A&M on Saturday morning - WHOOP! And in only 3 years! So proud :)

One Down, Three To Go..

Wednesday, May 1st, marked the completion of my first semester of nursing school. What?! I cannot even believe how quickly time is flying! A year from now, I'll be graduating and starting my career as an R.N. Crazy. I thought I would share what I've learned this semester (and by that, I mean more than just what I gained by flipping through the pages of a textbook).

The Definition of Pure Joy

I recently read an article about a retired physician who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in September 2012. Having worked a great deal with people who have Alzheimer's, I am always drawn to articles like these and am interested in reading about new medical developments.

Thankful

Dwelling on my awesome God who sent his only son to die for our sins. Washed white by His death and resurrection. Praise the Lord!

My Valentine

Now that it's been a month since Valentine's Day (this post is way overdue), I just wanted to share a bit about my sweet man. Even though it's sort of a silly day, it's always fun to throw in another date night!!

Update on Life.

I know it has been several weeks since I've posted...you may blame that on nursing school. Just kidding. I'm not that busy, even though sometimes I think I have a to-do list that could easily be a chapter book. Anyway, I just wanted to take a few minutes for a quick update...

Aloha! The calm before the storm...

This past weekend, Steve and I spontaneously jumped on a flight to Honolulu, Hawaii. Crazy, right?!? We decided mid-last week to take one last non-rev trip before I start nursing school this coming Monday (before the chaos begins..). After checking flights to various places, we decided on Hawaii and were on a plane to Honolulu (via LA) at 7 last Friday morning!

New Year, New Goals.

Remember when we had to write down our New Year's Resolutions as an assignment in elementary school at the start of every new year? Though years and years have passed since then, I still fully believe that writing down your goals makes you more likely to achieve them.
