Easy Crock-Pot Dinner: Salsa Chicken

For those that don't know, I am a little shaky when it comes to cooking (and that is an understatement). While I am convinced that I simply was not born with the cooking gene, I know that my lack of cooking skills can actually be attributed to my lack of confidence in the kitchen.

From California to Aggieland

This week was special in that we had the opportunity to visit Mike (Steve's brother) in California. Then, I took a short, mid-week trip to College Station to visit my sister, Melissa. We feel so blessed to have flight benefits to be able spend such sweet time with wonderful siblings!

Book Review: Same Kind of Different as Me

I just finished a wonderful book: Same Kind of Different as Me, by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. I will admit, I started this book back at the beginning of June (life got quite busy with 12 hours plus of schoolwork daily and I had to put leisure reading on hold - so sad). However, school has slowed down considerably and I was able to pick up where I had left off.

Oh goodness, where to begin...

Several family members and friends have suggested that I start a blog. For the past few years, I have always wanted to start one, but I think the fear of not keeping up with it has been the barrier in the way of my acting (I don't like to start something and leave it unfinished).
