Embracing Change

It's been almost three months since my last post, and in that fairly short amount of time, so many aspects of our lives have changed. It's been a fun, interesting, crazy whirlwind! I graduated in May and am now officially a Registered Nurse after passing the state board exam.

And so it ends...

As I sit here reflecting, I cannot believe this chapter is coming to an end. It seems like I JUST got my letter of acceptance into UTA's nursing program. Now, what seems like a blink of an eye later, I have completed everything and will be graduating in 10 days. It feels surreal. Someone pinch me!

I recently looked on the back of our refrigerated coffee creamer and noticed how many ingredients are listed. We have been trying to eat a little healthier and reduce preservatives and unnecessary chemicals from our food, so I was excited when my French teacher from high school {thanks, Ms. Monson!} posted this link on Facebook - a recipe for homemade coffee creamer.

Three down, One to go...

You may remember my post back in May after my first semester of nursing school (One Down, Three to Go). Well, if you can believe it {I hardly can}, I just finished my third semester of nursing school and will be entering the FINAL semester come January. That means graduation is nearing, folks!!

I wanted to take a minute to post a link to a song that has encouraged me greatly the past few days. I heard it for the first time on Sunday, and I fell in love. I sat still just listening to each word. It was exactly what I needed to hear.

The Last Two Months

I finished the second of four semesters of nursing school on Friday. YES! It feels so good to be at the half way mark. It has gone by so quickly, and I am sure the next half will fly by, too. It's amazing how much knowledge they can shove into our brains in such a short period of time! Graduation {May 2014} will be here so soon..CRAZY.

Love my Daddy

Today and every day, I am SO thankful for the wonderful Dad that the Lord has blessed me with :) Daddy, I love you bigger than the world! You inspire me every day. Thanks for always making me laugh, for always supporting and encouraging me, and for the amazing father that you are. Best Dad in the whole world. I love you, Pops!! Happy Father's Day!

I want to remember this...

Yesterday I was introduced to Zach Sobiech's story. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer (osteosarcoma) when he was 14, and he passed away on Monday at the age of 18. Instead of living his life dreading when his final moment would come, he chose to live each day with joy and focus on making the most out of his time left here on earth.
