Wow - I just realized how long it's been since my last post. How quickly time flies!! It has been a fun-filled and relaxing few weeks with family. I just love this time of year. So thankful that God sent His son to pay our debt and make us white as snow. May we always remember that Jesus is the greatest gift of all!

Thanksgiving & Christmas - All in One
My dad's side of the family usually gets together on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. This year we did things a little differently and combined the two gatherings into one this past Saturday, December 1st. Though I will miss seeing everyone again in a few weeks, it was still great to catch up with family! Thankful for the time that we had together. Love this time of year!

Christmas Cheer
Steve and I spent this past Sunday decorating for Christmas (with the Pandora Christmas station playing in the background, of course). So fun. It's hard to do much decorating in a small apartment, but I love the quaint and simple feel of the look that we created! And Christmas is about so much more than decorations and presents.

In Memory of My Sweet Grandma
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18I just want to say a few words about my sweet grandma. She passed away Wednesday evening. She lived a long, happy life (87 and 7 months to the day).

Craft Fever
Okay folks. We're talking creativity today. I am quite possibly the least creative person there is. My sister got all of the crafty/artsy genes (Melissa, you are awesome). Normally, I don't really even have a desire to craft. But, for some reason, the past several days I have had this STRONG craving to be creative.

Pumpkins and Hot Chocolate: Why I Love Fall
Happy November! My how time flies. I love this time of year. Family, friends, and amazing weather. Could it get any better?! And I feel like we have actually had a real fall this year. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like most years we have a few days of that perfect fall weather in between summer and winter, and that's it.

I practically live at Starbucks.
I am currently taking two online classes - Pathophysiology and Pharmacology - to finish up my prenursing requirements. Because they are online, I don't know a single person in either of my classes. So, study groups are nonexistent for me.

Books, Breaks, & Bargains
As I mentioned in a previous post, I applied to UTA for the accelerated nursing program and am currently waiting to hear from them regarding the decision. I should know by the end of October if I am accepted or not. I'm anxious to find out, but I trust that the Lord has a plan, and that it is GOOD!

Stop and smell the roses.
This week, I have been reminded of how important it is to stop and smell the roses. To never take one breath, one moment, or one blessing for granted. But to praise God for all that He has given me. A family friend's passing last Monday reminded me how short life can be. How insignificant my small complaints are relative to the bigger picture. How any moment could be my last.
