"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18I just want to say a few words about my sweet grandma. She passed away Wednesday evening. She lived a long, happy life (87 and 7 months to the day).
After breaking her hip a few years ago, she was unable to live at home and endured a long road of suffering. My heart is happy knowing she is with the Lord now and suffering no more. Though she will be greatly missed, I am so thankful for the time that we had with her. Remembering all of the sweet memories that we made! She played a mad hand of "war." Beat me every time. And I will never forget that contagious laugh and her sweet goodbye waves from the front door of her house. Love her and will miss her dearly.
Take the time to tell people how much you love them. It is so easy to take life for granted, but you never know when a conversation with someone may be your last. Though I don't say it often enough, I am thankful for each one of you!
I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving! I pray that you are filled with awe and wonder of how awesome our God is and how much he has blessed us. God is good! We have so much to be thankful for. Even though today is a day specifically designed to give thanks, I have made it a goal to have a thankful attitude daily. This is something that I must constantly ask God to help me with - my sinful tendency as a human is to focus on the negatives of a situation, causing me to look past the gifts that are present in every life circumstance. It is amazing how much joy we can exude if we stop and think about how much we have in Jesus alone - it puts everything into perspective.
Praying that the Lord would satisfy your heart today and always.
