Note: I did not say I have the SKILL, just the DESIRE. However, I believe that's all it takes. I don't think you have to have crazy awesome art skills or craft ideas to produce something nifty. Just the idea (okay, and maybe the time) and you can do it! It may not turn out like you planned, but how will you know unless you try?? And since when does everything have to be perfect? -- NEVER.
I was hanging out with a sweet friend the other day and she somehow brought out the tiny ounce of creativity in me (thanks Nancy!). So what did I do when I came home?....I joined Pinterest. Perhaps a little late in the game? YES. But I must say, browsing through the do it yourself (DIY) and craft sections was so much fun. Talk about zillions of ideas being inspired in your mind at once -- and I'm not even creative, people! For example, I found this super clever idea that looks SO simple:
Simple frames (can paint them any color). Burlap to wrap the interior of the frame (or even a different fabric or scrapbook paper). And clips from clipboards (or maybe even clothespins?). And you can change out the pictures whenever you please. Not to mention it is soooo cute. I hope to tackle this project soon. Cool gift idea, too!
Anyway, my point is: I am NOT "creative," but I want to CREATE! Here's to being crafty :)
