Books, Breaks, & Bargains

As I mentioned in a previous post, I applied to UTA for the accelerated nursing program and am currently waiting to hear from them regarding the decision. I should know by the end of October if I am accepted or not. I'm anxious to find out, but I trust that the Lord has a plan, and that it is GOOD!
In the meantime, I am taking Pathophysiology and Pharmacology through UTA as part of the pre-nursing requirements. Although they are pretty challenging courses, they are SO interesting, which makes it ten times more fun to learn. I am fascinated by the way the body works and how far we have come in medicine. Pretty awesome.

All that being said, I took two exams over the weekend and have rewarded myself with some rest and relaxation today. First, the weather is absolutely beautiful. Love having the AC off and keeping the windows open. PERFECT. After a leisurely morning and staying in my pajamas until noon (so great), I headed to the mall. Now, many of you know that I am NOT a big shopper - at all. Just not a huge fan. But I had $40 credit from point rewards (free money!) to use at either Gap, Banana Republic, or Old Navy. At Old Navy, pretty much everything in the entire store was 40% off (I am ALL about bargains), and they were doing another promotion on top of that: get $10 credit for every $25 you spend (to use at the beginning of November). So, I literally walked out with 6 items for $14. CRAZY - especially when you consider the fact that the lowest original price of any single item I bought was $10. Not to mention I got $30 credit to spend in November - such a phenomenal deal! Now that's my kind of shopping. Too good of a deal not to share!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Columbus Day!

One of my Old Navy purchases - literally came out to be $1.48!
