Remember when we had to write down our New Year's Resolutions as an assignment in elementary school at the start of every new year? Though years and years have passed since then, I still fully believe that writing down your goals makes you more likely to achieve them.
When you have something (or someone) to hold you accountable (be it a sheet of paper, a family member, a close friend, etc.), it is so much easier to be successful in reaching those goals (at least it is for me). So, I've reflected on 2012 and created some realistic goals that I want to achieve in 2013 (and hopefully to carry forward in years to come!). And I'm blogging about them as a way to hold myself accountable!

Be more intentional spiritually.
- Quiet time. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." - Psalm 119:105
- Pray continuously. "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
- Read "Streams in the Desert" at breakfast.
Be joyful about life, no matter what kind of day it is.
- "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." - James 1:2-3
Maintain a regular exercise schedule.
- 2x per week (trying to be realistic here...) for 30 min each time.
Be confident in the kitchen.
- Learn how to cook. Try new recipes.
Craft. Delve into my creative side...
Have understanding / patience.
Be selfless.
Here's to 2013! What goals have you made for the new year?
